Ensure process evaluation includes the Hardware Configuration Items (HWCIs),Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs), Baselines, etc. Configuration identification includes the following: selection of CIS and determination of the types of configuration documentation required for each CI; the issuance of numbers and other identifiers affixed to each CI and documentation that defines the CIs configuration to include internal and external interfaces; the release of CIs and their associated configuration documentation; and the establishment of the configuration baselines for CIs.
