2.2.4 - Interfaces

2.2.4-4 Level 2 Tasks

Tasks Applicable Mission Phases Description SFWC Artifacts References
2.2.4-4-1 Ensure interface requirements are defined Phase A | Phase B | Phase C | Ensure all interface requirements contain adequate margins for performance. Ensure interfaces are defined at the lowest levels of integration. Ensure verification methods include use of validated simulators and drivers. Ensure the external interface definition and associated requirements are adequate and complete. Ensure that all space vehicle external interfaces are captured as part of the space vehicle segment test planning effort. These interfaces include all space segment interfaces including GSE and other space assets. Ensure all external interfaces identified and reflected in Interface Control Specifications. 2.2.4-4-2 Ensure an independent assessment is performed on interface requirements changes Phase A | Phase B | Phase C | Phase D1 | Ensure each change is reviewed for effects on performance margin, verification method, and cost/schedule. Ensure external interface changes are properly coordinated and signed off before authorization to proceed. 2.2.4-4-3 Ensure independent review is performed of contractor analysis of interface requirements verification Phase A | Phase B | Phase C | Phase D1 | Ensure the correct verification methods are used. Ensure evidence of all verifications is maintained and available for review. NA NA TOR-2006(8506)-4494, Space Vehicle Systems Engineering Handbook, Major Interfaces chapter
