4.4.10 - Command & Data Handling Subsystem (C&DH)

4.4.10-11 Level 2 Tasks

Tasks Applicable Mission Phases Description SFWC Artifacts References
4.4.10-11-1 Ensure flight readiness of the subsystem Phase D1 | Ensure all plans are complete for operational testing and that critical liens are closed or have a path to closure. NA NA Space Vehicle Test and Evaluation Handbook, TOR-2011(8591)-2
4.4.10-11-2 Ensure proper launch site processing procedures are complete Phase D1 | Evaluate test plans and testing after integration with launch vehicle to ensure that integration and the launch pad environment will not cause any damage. Ensure that launch rehearsals address planned procedures and contingency operations. NA NA Space Vehicle Test and Evaluation Handbook, TOR-2011(8591)-2
4.4.10-11-3 Ensure proper plans, procedures and tools are in place to support early operations Phase D1 | Ensure rehearsals address planned procedures and contingency operations, and that any issues found during rehearsals are tracked to closure prior to actual use. NA NA Space Vehicle Test and Evaluation Handbook, TOR-2011(8591)-2
4.4.10-11-4 Ensure on-orbit anomalies are reviewed for reach-back Phase B | Phase C | Phase D1 | Phase D2 | Phase D3 | Ensure that anomalies from both in-system (common program) and cross-systems (supporting or parallel programs and services) are evaluated and considered in the event of on-orbit anomalies. Disposition of the anomaly must consider reachback, reach across and reach forward. Final disposition should be entered into a lessons learned database as appropriate to the security level of the anomaly and program. NA NA Space Vehicle Test and Evaluation Handbook, TOR-2011(8591)-2
4.4.10-11-5 Ensure there is a test facility (e.g. simulator) that can support launch and operations Phase B | Phase C | PDR --Describe requirements for the simulation and preliminary design. CDR - Update the simulation and design. Ensure the test facility (using flight software in a high-fidelity SV emulation environment) provides capability for procedure checkout, mission constant checkout, anomaly investigation, etc. NA NA Space Vehicle Systems Engineering Handbook, TOR-2006(8506)-4494
4.4.10-11-6 Ensure understanding of mission operations, especially during launch phase Phase D1 | Ensure rehearsal of contingency operations. NA NA Space Vehicle Systems Engineering Handbook, TOR-2006(8506)-4494
4.4.10-11-7 Ensure understanding interfaces to launch site GSE Phase D1 | Ensure any functional interface performs intended function. NA NA Space Vehicle Systems Engineering Handbook, TOR-2006(8506)-4494
4.4.10-11-8 Ensure independent simulation models are available or built as needed to support anomalies or launch training Phase B | Phase C | Phase D1 | Ensure applicability of models for use in system OPS if models generated for program are of sufficient fidelity. NA NA Space Vehicle Systems Engineering Handbook, TOR-2006(8506)-4494
